Bellator 48 took place tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The card was headlined by Bellator's Summer Series featherweight tournament final between Pat Curran and former Sengoku champion Marlon Sandro. Curran managed to pull off a shocking upset by timing Sandro's movement and knocking him out cold.
Also on the card, Bellator heavyweight champion Cole Konrad outstruck Paul Buentello, Seth Petruzelli put a sudden stop to Ricco Rodriguez's comeback attempt, and former BJJ world champion Nazare battered Juan Barrantes.
