West Liberty Is Nation's First Majority Hispanic Town

In the largely white state of Iowa, one town where the Hispanic population is becoming the majority is West Liberty. Census figures show the Hispanic population has almost doubled since 2000. The town's dual language program in schools is also attracting residents from nearby cities.
